  • Motocross Returns to Mammoth

    Mammoth Motocross is the longest running amateur moto competition on the west coast and returns to Mammoth Lakes June 19-28th. Back in 1968 Don Rake and some friends decided to put on a motocross in Mammoth Lakes, California. They built a world-class track 8,000 feet up in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Dave McCoy came along and offered the backing of his Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and the rest is history.

  • Update - Mammoth Extends Season

    Thanks to over 18" of fresh snow this past weekend Mammoth has extended its ski & snowboard season, and with another storm on the horizon and favorable low temps, May is shaping up to be a great month on the slopes.

  • Prepare to Unload – Episode 5: The Final Countdown

    On April 8, 2015, approximately two feet of fresh blanketed the mountain, making for one of the best days of the season. In episode 5 of Prepare to Unload, Mammoth closes out their 2015 video series with plentiful powder turns to satiate any jonsing you’ve been encountering this May.

    Shayne Pospisil, Jimmy Goodman, and Frank Knab drop in off Mammoth’s summit for copious springtime face shots. Enjoy this final dose of Eastern Sierra powder for the year; we recommend playing on repeat until next season begins. And, if you’re in California, you can still get some warm weather turns in at Mammoth this week, they’re open until Sunday, May 10th.

  • Tioga Pass Opens Access to Yosemite

    The National Forest Service announced that Tioga Pass connecting the 395 corridor of the eastern Sierra with Yosemite National Park and points west is now officially open for the season.

  • 9-12" of Fresh Snow Blankets Mammoth Mountain

    Mammoth received 9-12" inches of fresh snow over the weekend and the conditions are fantastic. We remain open with top to bottom skiing at Main Lodge and are shaping up to have a fantastic spring skiing as we head into the month of May.

    Be sure to purchase your Cali4nia Pass before April 30th to save big and enjoy unlimited skiing and riding at Mammoth for the remainder of this season and all of 2015-2016.

    This past weekend was the 3rd Annual JLA Banked Slalom presented by Burton. During an incredible two days filled with awesome weather and good snow; friends, families and great people from all over were able to come together in a shared love of snowboarding to celebrate the life of Jeff Anderson on a killer course created in collaboration between TJ Dawoud (head of Unbound) and Billy Anderson (Jeff's brother). Jeff's thriving legacy and spirit lives on thanks his brother, their mom Jane and countless others - including everyone who has come out to race in the JLA Banked Slalom for the past 3 years.
