Mammoth Parking Guide



Overnight parking is prohibited in all parking areas. Violators will be towed or ticketed for obstructing snow removal.

ESTA Town Transportation | FREE

Skip parking altogether by utilizing Eastern Sierra Transit Authority's free transportation to the ski area and around town. With a dedicated bus line offering service to each base lodge, plus convenient bus stops throughout town, getting to the mountain has never been easier. Check out the ESTA schedule and routes, and find exact pick-up/drop-off locations for each base lodge on the maps below.

General Parking | FREE

Each base lodge offers parking areas free of charge. Please refer to the parking maps to locate the general parking areas at each base lodge. 

Preferred Parking | $30 / $40 on Peak Weekends & Holidays

Preferred parking spaces are available on a first come, first served basis – look for the white and black “PREFERRED PARKING” signs posted in each of the parking lots, as well an attendant in a yellow jacket to take your payment (cash only). Your parking space will not be reserved if you leave.

Guest Drop-Off Zone | 10 Minute Parking

Mammoth guests are welcome to use the Guest Drop-Off Zone for easy loading/unloading of belongings and equipment. Follow the orange parking lot signs then park parallel in the drop-off zone while loading/unloading. If you must leave your car unattended, please turn on your hazard lights while away from the vehicle.

A supply of blue wagons is available for use to help transport your gear from the car to the locker rooms. Please return wagons to the drop-off zone after use for other guests to enjoy.

Black Pass Parking Area

Mammoth Black Passholders have a designated priority parking area at each of the base lodges. A valid, visible Black Pass parking permit must be visible to park there. Violators will be booted and charged a service fee.

Minaret Road Parking Guide

Main Lodge Parking Shuttle | 7:30AM–5PM Daily

The parking shuttle provides transportation from your car to/from Main Lodge along Minaret Rd/Hwy 203.

Pick-Up Areas: The shuttle stops in front of each designated parking area sign (lettered A through G) as well as Chair 2 (The Mill) and Chair 4 and Chair 10 parking lots. The shuttle will only stop if there are people waiting – so make sure you’re visible.

Departs: Every 10 minutes near the Main Lodge ticket office. Look for the black “PARKING SHUTTLE” sign.

If you need a lift to your car after 5PM, the 5:10PM and 5:30PM Red Line can be utilized. Be sure to tell the driver what letter parking area you are going to.

ESTA Bus – Red Line

Offers free daily service between the Snowcreek Athletic Club and Main Lodge via Old Mammoth Rd and Main Street.

Pick-Up / Drop-Off: Located between the Main Lodge ticket office and the Panorama Gondola. Look for the red “VILLAGE/SNOWCREEK” sign.


Canyon Parking

Free Gondola Access from The Village | 7:45AM–5PM Daily
The Village offers a number of free 2-hour parking spaces, as well as paid parking in the lot, and there are convenient Red, Blue and Yellow Line ESTA bus stops at The Village within close proximity to the gondola.

ESTA Blue Line
Offers free daily service between The Village and Canyon Lodge via Canyon Blvd and Lakeview Blvd.

Pick-Up / Drop-Off: Located in front of the Canyon Lodge main entrance. Look for the “BLUE LINE TO THE VILLAGE” sign.


Eagle Lodge Parking

ESTA Bus – Yellow Line

Offers free daily service between The Village and Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge via Majestic Pines Dr/Kelly Rd and Lake Mary Rd.

Pick-Up / Drop-Off: Located in front of the Juniper Springs Resort main entrance.

ESTA Bus – Green Line

Offers free daily service between Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge and downtown Mammoth area via Meridian Blvd and Old Mammoth Rd.
